The superintendent of the state highway patrol for and on behalf of the patrol is authorized and empowered to enter into any and all necessary agreements with any federal department or federal agency and to do and perform all acts required of the highway patrol to obtain all benefits under the terms and provisions of any federal legislation. All moneys received by the state highway patrol pursuant to any agreement entered into in accordance with the provisions of this act shall be remitted to the state treasurer in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, and amendments thereto.
