§ 73-417 — Monuments by counties and cities for certain veterans
In grateful recognition of the service, sacrifices and sufferings of persons who served in the army and navy of the United States in the war of the rebellion, and the persons who served in the army, navy or marine corps of the United States in world war I or world war II and of persons who have served with the armed forces of the United States during the military, naval and air operations in Korea or other places under the flags of the United States and the United Nations or under the flag of the United States alone, and have been honorably discharged therefrom, the board of county commissioners of the several counties and governing body of any city of the first, second and third class within this state are hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate money or issue bonds of the respecti
