(a)There is hereby established in the state treasury the mineral production education fund which shall be administered by the department of education. On and after July 1, 2016, all moneys that are to be credited to the mineral production education fund pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 79-4227, and amendments thereto, shall be deposited in the state treasury in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, and amendments thereto, and shall be credited to the mineral production education fund. All expenditures from the mineral production education fund shall be for school district finance.
