(a)The board of every school district may:
(1)Develop and operate a parent education program;
(2)enter into cooperative or interlocal agreements with one or more other boards for the development and operation of a parent education program;
(3)contract with private, nonprofit corporations or associations or with any public or private agency or institution, whether located within or outside the state, for the provision of services which are appropriate to a parent education program; and (4) apply for a grant of state moneys to supplement amounts expended by the school district for development and operation of a parent education program.
