Exceptions to the duration of the school term provided for under authority of K.S.A. 72-3115, shall not be construed or applied in any manner so as to affect or impair the obligations of lawful contracts of employees for the school year with the board of education of any school district, and the financial provisions of all such lawful contracts shall remain the valid and binding financial obligations of the school district. If the duration of any school term is altered or modified by any exception thereto provided for in K.S.A. 72-3115, the amount of compensation specified in any such employee's contract with the board of education shall not be reduced, modified or affected thereby.
