§ 72-1562 — U.S.D. 494 authorized to transfer certain land to Coolidge township

Kansas·Ch. 72 SCHOOLS·Art. 15 SCHOOL DISTRICT LANDS

(a)The board of education of unified school district No. 494, Hamilton county, Kansas, is hereby authorized to transfer to Coolidge township of Hamilton county, Kansas, the following described parcels of land: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of block 9; all of block 10; lots 1 through 32 of block 16; lots 10 through 18 of block 41; all in St. Johns addition to the city of Coolidge, Hamilton county, Kansas, as shown by the recorded plat thereof.

(b)The transfer of land described in subsection (a), together with the buildings located thereon, may be made by the board of education to Coolidge township in consideration of $1 and no other consideration, and upon such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon by both parties. The transfer authorized by this act shall be made by quitclaim deed.

The transaction authorized by this act shall require approval by majority vote of the members of the board of education and the members of the township board and shall require no other approval. To the extent that the provisions of K.S.A. 72-3216, and amendments thereto, or the provisions of K.S.A. 80-104, and amendments thereto, conflict with this act, this act shall control.
