Text
(a)Any person registered or required to be registered under the provisions of K.S.A. 65-6a34, and amendments thereto, shall keep records that fully and accurately disclose transactions related to animals prepared for and capable of use as human food. Nothing in this section shall affect the exemptions established in K.S.A. 65-6a31, and amendments thereto. All persons, firms and corporations subject to such requirements, at all reasonable times upon request by the secretary, shall provide access to their places of business and provide an opportunity to examine the facilities, inventory and records thereof and to copy all such records.
(b)Any record required to be maintained by this section shall be maintained for a period of time as the secretary shall prescribe by rules and regulations.
