§ 65-6609 — Prohibited acts

Kansas·Ch. 65 PUBLIC HEALTH·Art. 66 ADDICTION COUNSELORS
(a)No person shall engage in the practice of addiction counseling or represent that such person is a licensed addiction counselor or is an addiction counselor, a substance abuse counselor or an alcohol and drug counselor without having first obtained a license as an addiction counselor under the addiction counselor licensure act.
(b)On and after September 1, 2016, no person shall engage in the practice of addiction counseling or represent that such person is a licensed master's addiction counselor, master's addiction counselor, master's substance abuse counselor or master's alcohol and drug counselor without having first obtained a license as a master's addiction counselor under the addiction counselor licensure act.
