(a)There is established an occupational therapist council to advise the board in carrying out the provisions of this act. The council shall consist of five members, all citizens and residents of the state of Kansas appointed as follows: One member shall be a physician appointed by the state board of healing arts; one member shall be the president of the state board of healing arts or a person designated by the president; and three members shall be occupational therapists appointed by the governor. The governor shall, insofar as possible, appoint persons from different geographical areas and persons who represent various types of occupational therapy treatment.
