Text

(a)The secretary shall issue a license if the applicant meets the minimum requirements established by or pursuant to this act for a treatment facility. Each license shall be issued only for the premises and persons or governmental units named in the application and shall not be transferable or assignable except with the written approval of the secretary. Licenses shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
(b)(1) The secretary may renew a license at the end of one, two or three years depending upon a facility's level of compliance with the rules and regulations adopted by the secretary pursuant to K.S.A. 65-4016, and amendments thereto.
