§ 65-3433 — Permit, construction or modification of facility; duties of secretary

Kansas·Ch. 65 PUBLIC HEALTH·Art. 34 SOLID AND HAZARDOUS WASTE
(a)After the effective date of this act, no person shall modify or construct an off-site hazardous waste facility without a permit issued by the secretary under this act.
(b)Upon receipt of an application for a permit to construct an off-site hazardous waste facility which complies with the requirements of this section, the secretary shall:
(1)Publish a notice once per week for three consecutive weeks in a newspaper having major circulation in the county in which the facility is proposed to be located. The required published notice shall contain a map indicating the location of the proposed facility and shall contain a description of the proposed action and the location where the permit application and related documents may be reviewed and where copies may be obtained.
