§ 65-3424a — Restrictions on disposal

Kansas·Ch. 65 PUBLIC HEALTH·Art. 34 SOLID AND HAZARDOUS WASTE

No person shall:

(a)Maintain an illegal waste tire accumulation;
(b)transfer ownership of waste tires to any person unless the recipient:
(1)Has been issued a permit by the secretary pursuant to K.S.A. 65-3407, and amendments thereto, or K.S.A. 65-3424b, and amendments thereto;
(2)intends to use the waste tires for a beneficial use; or (3) is a tire retailer who collects waste tires from the public or other tire retailers in the ordinary course of business;
(c)deposit waste tires in a landfill as a method of ultimate disposal, except that the secretary may authorize, by rules and regulations or by permits issued pursuant to K.S.A. 65-3407, and amendments thereto:
