(a)There is hereby created a designation of visiting professor temporary license which may be issued by the board to a person who holds a degree from an accredited school of medicine or an accredited school of osteopathy; is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in another state, territory, the District of Columbia or another country; and is employed by the university of Kansas school of medicine or by a licensed medical care facility which is engaged in the education of medical students, nurses, physicians' assistants or other paramedical personnel, is offering an approved postgraduate program or is engaged in the continuing education of its medical personnel.
