Text

(a)Any intent of the crematory to recycle metallic remnants, prosthetic implants or anything else remaining after cremation or removed prior to cremation requires consent from the legal next of kin of the deceased as defined in K.S.A. 65-1734, and amendments thereto.
(b)Any such recycling must be in compliance with state and federal laws.
(c)This section shall take effect on and after July 1, 2011.
