§ 65-1,121 — Medication aides; continuing education; requirements; fees

Kansas·Ch. 65 PUBLIC HEALTH·Art. 1 SECRETARY OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT, ACTIVITIES
(a)On and after the effective date of this act, no person shall be a medication aide for the purposes of subsection (i) of K.S.A. 65-1124 and amendments thereto unless such person completes a program of continuing education at least every two years, as established by the secretary. The secretary by duly adopted rules and regulations shall establish the requirements for such a program as soon as possible after the effective date of this act. The secretary shall update the certificate of a medication aide upon the completion by such medication aide of any continuing education program as provided in this section. The secretary shall determine a fee by rules and regulations in an amount sufficient to cover the costs of the department to administer the provisions of this act.
