§ 56a-1304 — Applicability of act

Kansas·Ch. 56a KANSAS UNIFORM PARTNERSHIP ACT·Art. 13 MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
(a)Before July 1, 1999, this act governs only a partnership formed:
(1)After the effective date of this act, unless that partnership is continuing the business of a dissolved partnership under the provisions of the prior uniform partnership act, K.S.A. 56-301 et seq. and amendments thereto; and
(2)before the effective date of this act, that elects, as provided by subsection (c), to be governed by this act.
(b)On and after July 1, 1999, this act governs all partnerships.
(c)Before July 1, 1999, a partnership voluntarily may elect, in the manner provided in its partnership agreement or by law for amending the partnership agreement, to be governed by this act. The provisions of this act relating to the liability of the partnership's partners to third parties apply to limit those partners
