Text

All officers of the Kansas army and air national guard in the line and in all of the departments and corps, shall hold their positions until they have reached 64 years of age unless the officer was terminated according to federal law. Upon the recommendation of the adjutant general, the governor may order any person on the state retired list to active service of the state for the purpose of serving on military boards or performing staff duty in or with the active militia and in time of emergency to perform any military duty in or with the active militia. In any such case, the person so ordered shall rank in grade from the date of such order.
