Foreign mutual assessment life associations shall be admitted to this state upon complying with the requirements of section 40-209, provided such associations are required by the laws of the states of their domicile to, or they do voluntarily, maintain the reserves, segregate the same and value their policies in accordance with the provisions of section 40-608. Such foreign mutual assessment life associations shall file with the commissioner of insurance, a certificate showing that such association has on deposit with a state official of its home state, approved securities in the sum of at least two hundred thousand dollars, or shall make such deposit with the commissioner of insurance of this state.
