Text
Every insurance company shall keep accurate books of account of all fire and lightning insurance written by them covering risks located within this state. In the case of any fraud or dishonesty in the returns made by an insurance company, as provided in K.S.A. 40-1702, and amendments thereto, the commissioner of insurance shall investigate the returns and collect the amount which the commissioner finds to be due.
