§ 27-117 — Lands acquired for flood control; distribution of lease moneys

(a)All moneys paid to the state of Kansas by the United States representing the state's share of moneys received by the United States from the leasing of lands acquired by the United States for flood control purposes, and as provided by section 7, chapter 377, of the acts of congress of 1941 (33 U.S.C. § 701c), and similar acts, shall be paid by the state treasurer to the treasurer of each county in which such leased lands are located to be used for the benefit of public schools, public roads and to defray a part of the expenses of county government as herein provided.
