Text
Every person who shall violate any of the provisions of K.S.A. 25-903 or 25-904, as amended, or who shall fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions thereof, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000). The conviction of any person of a violation of any of the provisions of K.S.A. 25-903, as amended, shall at once vacate any office held by him, and such person shall be disqualified from holding any public office for a period of two (2) years: Provided, That the penalties and forfeitures herein imposed shall not apply to candidates for city of the third class or township offices.
