Text
Any registered voter desiring to contest an election of a person to an office shall be referred to as the contestant, and the person whose election is contested shall be referred to as the contestee. The contestant, if authorized under K.S.A. 25-1435 shall file a written notice of contest specifying the grounds upon which the contest is based. The notice shall specify with particularity the facts and circumstances in support of the grounds alleged for the contest. In the case of an office elected on less than a statewide basis, the notice of contest shall be filed with the clerk of the district court of the county in which the person whose election is contested resides.
