Text
If the election of a waterworks board has been approved by a majority of the voters at such election, the mayor of such city shall thereupon issue a proclamation for an election of the members of such waterworks board. The said waterworks board shall consist of five members to be nominated and elected by the city at large. The provisions of article 17 of chapter 13 of the General Statutes of 1935, pertaining to the election and removal of officers, shall govern except as to the time of the first primary and election. The three candidates securing the highest number of votes at the election shall hold office for the term of four years and the two candidates receiving the next highest number of votes shall hold office for a term of two years, thereafter the term of each member of the waterwo
