Text

(a)A record required to be maintained under this chapter is subject to inspection by a police officer during normal business hours. In addition to the inspections authorized under section 20 of this chapter, an inspection under this section may include an examination of the premises of the automotive salvage recycler's established place of business for the purpose of determining the accuracy of the required records.
(b)An automotive salvage recycler that knowingly or intentionally fails to:
(1)maintain records as required under this chapter; or
(2)allow an inspection of a licensee's established place of business for the purpose of determining the accuracy of required records; commits a Class A infraction.
