§ 9-27-7-8 — Immunity from civil liability
Indiana·Title 9 MOTOR VEHICLES·Art. 27 TRAFFIC SAFETY AND DRIVER EDUCATION·Ch. 7 Motorcycle Operator Safety Education Program
(a)The following are immune from civil liability
for an act or omission occurring during a motorcycle operator safety
education course that results in an injury or property damage:
(1)The state of Indiana.
(2)A regional training center contracted by the bureau or any
other site approved by the commissioner to provide motorcycle
driver education and training courses.
(3)The owner of a site upon which a motorcycle operator safety
education course is conducted.
(4)An officer, agent, or employee of a person described in
subdivisions (1) through (3).
(b)The immunity described in subsection (a) does not apply if the
person committed gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct.
