The provisions of this article relating to financial responsibility do not apply to a person who has registered a motor vehicle in Indiana if the person obtains a certificate of self-insurance from the bureau under IC 9-25-4-11. [Pre-1991 Recodification Citation: 9-2-1-37(a) part.]
