§ 9-24-16-5 — Renewal; expiration of renewed identification card of individuals with lawful status

(a)An application for renewal of an identification card issued in the form of a physical credential may be made not more than twenty-four (24) months before the expiration date of the card issued in the form of a physical credential. However, when the applicant complies with section 3.5 of this chapter, an application for renewal of an identification card issued in the form of a physical credential may be filed not more than one (1) month before the expiration date of the identification card issued in the form of a physical credential held by the applicant.
(b)Except as provided in subsection (d), a renewed card issued in the form of a physical credential is valid on the birth date of the holder and remains valid for six (6) years.
