Text

(a)The Indiana department of transportation may designate as an authorized emergency vehicle a vehicle:
(1)other than an ambulance that is owned by a person other than a hospital; and
(2)that is used in emergency service.
(b)The Indiana department of transportation may designate and authorize other emergency vehicles under the rules the department prescribes. [Pre-1991 Recodification Citation: 9-4-1-2(d) part.]
