§ 9-19-20-1 — Application of chapter
Indiana·Title 9 MOTOR VEHICLES·Art. 19 MOTOR VEHICLE EQUIPMENT·Ch. 20 Motor Vehicles Used for Government Funded
(a)Except as provided by subsection (b), this
chapter applies to a motor vehicle that is used to provide transportation
of passengers by a profit or nonprofit corporation if the corporation
receives revenue for the transportation service from federal, state, or
local governments.
(b)This section does not apply to the following:
(1)A motor vehicle that is manufactured to transport less than six
(6)passengers.
(2)A private bus (as defined in IC 9-13-2-133(a)).
