(a)In order to continue participation in the special group recognition license plate program, a special group must:
(1)sell at least:
(A)for a special group recognition license plate issued before January 1, 2026, five hundred (500) special group recognition license plates of the special group; and
(B)for a special group recognition license plate issued after December 31, 2025, one thousand (1,000) special group recognition license plates of the special group; in the first two (2) years in which the license plate is offered for sale; and
(2)maintain the sale or renewal of at least:
(A)for a special group recognition license plate issued before January 1, 2026, five hundred (500) special group recognition license plates; and
(B)for a special group recognition license plate issued aft
