Text

(a)An application for a certificate of title for a vehicle must contain the odometer reading of the vehicle in miles or kilometers as of the date of sale or transfer of the vehicle to the applicant.
(b)Subsection (a) does not apply to the following:
(1)A vehicle described in IC 9-17-1-1(b)(1).
(2)A vehicle described in IC 9-17-1-1(c).
(3)A manufactured or mobile home.
(4)An off-road vehicle.
(5)A watercraft.
(6)A vehicle that is required to be registered under this title at a declared gross weight of more than sixteen thousand (16,000) pounds.
(c)A person shall not knowingly furnish to the bureau odometer information that does not accurately indicate the total recorded miles or kilometers on the vehicle.
