§ 9-14-8-3 — Powers of bureau
Indiana·Title 9 MOTOR VEHICLES·Art. 14 BUREAU OF MOTOR VEHICLES·Ch. 8 Powers and Duties of the Bureau and the Commissioner
The bureau may do the following:
(1)Adopt and enforce rules under IC 4-22-2 that are necessary to
carry out this title.
(2)Subject to the approval of the commission, request the
necessary office space, storage space, and parking facilities for
each license branch operated by the commission from the Indiana
department of administration as provided in IC 4-20.5-5-5.
(3)Upon any reasonable ground appearing on the records of the
bureau and subject to rules and guidelines of the bureau, suspend
or revoke the following:
(A)The current driving privileges or driver's license of any
individual.
(B)The certificate of registration and proof of registration for
any vehicle.
(C)The certificate of registration and proof of registration for
any watercraft, off-road vehicle, or snowmobile.
