§ 9-14-12-8 — Specific written requests; fee; permissible uses; violation
(a)Upon the submission to the bureau of a
specific written request for a compilation of specific information
requested for the purposes described in subsection (c), the bureau may
contract with the requesting person to compile the requested
information from the records of the bureau.
(b)The bureau may charge an amount agreeable to the parties for
information compiled under subsection (a).
(c)A person that makes a request under this section must certify
that the information compiled in response to the request will be used
for one (1) of the following purposes:
(1)For notifying vehicle owners of vehicle defects and recalls.
(2)For research or statistical reporting purposes. Individual
