§ 9-14-11-5 — Duties of board
Indiana·Title 9 MOTOR VEHICLES·Art. 14 BUREAU OF MOTOR VEHICLES·Ch. 11 Driver Licensing Medical Advisory Board
The board shall provide the commissioner and the office of traffic safety created by IC 9-27-2-2 with assistance in the administration of Indiana driver licensing laws, including:
(1)providing guidance to the commissioner in the area of
licensing drivers with health or other problems that may adversely
affect a driver's ability to operate a vehicle safely;
(2)recommending factors to be used in determining qualifications
and ability for issuance and retention of a driver's license; and
(3)recommending and participating in the review of license
suspension, restriction, or revocation appeal procedures, including
reasonable investigation into the facts of the matter.
