§ 6-6-5-11 — Registration of vehicle without payment of tax; offenses

Indiana·Art. 6 MOTOR FUEL AND VEHICLE EXCISE TAXES·Ch. 5 Motor Vehicle Excise Tax
An owner of a vehicle that knowingly registers the vehicle without paying the excise tax required by this chapter commits a Class B misdemeanor. A person that recklessly issues a registration on any vehicle without collecting excise tax required to be collected with the registration commits a Class B misdemeanor.
