(a)Except as provided in subsection (b), when real property is redeemed and the certificate of sale is surrendered to the county auditor, the auditor shall issue a warrant to the purchaser or purchaser's assignee in an amount equal to the amount received by the county treasurer for redemption.
(b)When real property sold under IC 6-1.1-24-6.1 is redeemed and the certificate of sale is surrendered to the county auditor, the auditor shall issue a warrant to the purchaser of the certificate of sale or the purchaser’s assignee in an amount equal to:
(1)the amount received by the county treasurer for redemption; minus
(2)if the certificate of sale was sold for less than the minimum bid under IC 6-1.1-24-5, an amount equal to the difference between the minimum bid under IC 6-1.1-24-5 and the
