§ 5-6-2-2 — Principal not considered to have vacated office

When under existing laws the duties of any office
may be performed by deputy, the person holding such office shall not
be deemed to have vacated the same by entering into the service named
in the preceding section, but the duties of such office may be performed
by deputy as if the principal had not entered into the military service.
