§ 5-2-13-9 — Grants; restrictions

(a)Except as provided in subsection (b), an agency may not receive grants under this chapter if the grant or grants allow the agency an increase of more than five percent (5%) over the total number of officers employed by the agency or on patrol in the community on the date that the agency submits its first application for a grant.
(b)An agency that employs less than thirty (30) officers on the date the agency submits its first application for a grant may receive a grant under this chapter only to hire one (1) new officer.
