Text
As used in this chapter, "dies in the line of
duty" refers to a death that occurs as a direct result of personal injury
or illness resulting from an action that an employee, in the employee's
capacity as an employee, is obligated or authorized to perform by rule,
regulation, law, or condition of employment.
