Text
A notice under this chapter must be given by a law enforcement agency that has custody of the person at the time of the escape or release to a victim:
(1)before the person is released by the law enforcement agency,
if possible; or
(2)as soon as practicable after the person escapes or has been
released by the law enforcement agency.
