Text

(a)The secretary of state shall collect two dollars ($2) for each attestation provided under this chapter. However, no fee may be collected for an attestation pertaining to the following:
(1)An adoption.
(2)A birth certificate issued by the state of Indiana.
(3)A death certificate issued by the state of Indiana.
(4)A student:
(A)transcript; or
(B)diploma; issued by an academic institution domiciled in Indiana and attested to in a notarial act by the academic institution's registrar or equivalent official.
(5)A document prepared by the secretary of state.
(b)A fee collected under subsection (a) is nonrefundable.
