Text
An appointment by the governor or chief
justice, as required by section 38 of this chapter, to the superior court
of Lake County takes effect immediately if a vacancy exists at the date
of the appointment. The appointment takes effect on the date the
vacancy is created if a vacancy does not exist at the date of
appointment.
