Text

(a)Lake County constitutes the thirty-first judicial circuit.
(b)The judge of the Lake circuit court may appoint two (2) full-time magistrates under IC 33-23-5 to serve the Lake circuit court. One (1) of the magistrates shall serve the domestic relations counseling bureau established under IC 31-12-2. The judge shall specify the duties of a magistrate appointed under this subsection. A magistrate continues in office until removed by the judge of the circuit court. [Pre-2004 Recodification Citation: 33-4-1-45.]
