Text

(a)Persons who are admitted to the practice of law and who reside in Allen County (referred to as "attorney electors") shall elect three (3) members to serve on the commission. The term of office of each elected attorney member is four (4) years, commencing on the first day of October following the member's election. The election day is the first Tuesday in September 1983, and every four (4) years thereafter. During the month before the expiration of each attorney commissioner's term of office, an election shall be held to fill the succeeding four (4) year term of office.
(b)Except when a term of office has less than ninety (90) days remaining, vacancies in the office of an attorney commissioner shall be filled for the unexpired term by a special election. [Pre-2004 Recodification Citati
