Text

(a)The salary of the judge of the probate court shall be the same as that of the judge of the circuit court of the county. The salary of the judge and the compensation of a judge pro tempore shall be paid in the same manner and from the same sources as the judge of the circuit court or judges pro tempore of the court.
(b)A full-time judge of a probate court may not be paid compensation for serving as a special judge, except for reasonable expenses for meals, lodging, travel, and other incidental expenses approved by the chief administrative officer of the office of judicial administration.
