Text
(a)An assessor selected to evaluate an adult
who may be a qualified adult shall:
(1)conduct an appropriate psychological evaluation of the adult;
(2)recommend whether the adult would likely benefit from
participation in the referral program; and
(3)explain, in detail, the reason for the recommendation.
The evaluation, recommendation, and explanation shall be submitted
to the court in writing, with the recommendation being submitted on a
sheet separate from the evaluation and explanation.
(b)The evaluation and explanation are confidential. The
recommendation is a public record unless ordered sealed by the court.
(c)The state may pay the costs of the assessment under subsection
(a).
