§ 31-9-2-3 — "Adoption"
Indiana·Art. 9 DEFINITIONS
"Adoption", for purposes of IC 31-19-17 through
IC 31-19-25.5, means the judicial act of creating the relationship of
parent and child where the relationship did not exist previously.
