Text

(a)Except as provided in subsection (b), if:
(1)a continuance is granted on a child's motion; or
(2)the proceedings are delayed by a child's act; a time period is extended by the amount of the resulting delay.
(b)If a child causes a delay during the last thirty (30) days of a time period, the state may petition the court for an additional thirty (30) day extension. [Pre-1997 Recodification Citation: 31-6-7-6(j).]
