Text

(a)The department may grant a waiver of the maximum stay for a child if the child caring institution licensed as a shelter care facility applies for the waiver before the expiration of the maximum stay.
(b)The child caring institution shall document in the request for a waiver that the waiver is in the best interest of the child.
