Text
Not later than five (5) days after receiving a request under section 1 of this chapter, the Indiana department of health shall:
(1)submit an affidavit to the attorney or agency verifying whether
a record of a paternity determination has been filed under IC 31-14-9-2 concerning the child; and
(2)search the putative father registry established by IC 31-19-5
and notify the attorney or agency, in compliance with IC 31-19-5-16 as to whether a putative father has:
(A)registered concerning the child; or
(B)filed a petition to establish paternity in relation to the child.
